Bringing in the Experts

🔗 Research and Practice. The best research projects I’ve been involved in have been when the practitioners and those with lived experience are leading the way.

💻 An ADHD resource for school staff? Let’s get the staff to work out what to include and how to present it. www.attic.org.uk

🚭 A policy brief with recommendations for policy and practice when offering smoking cessation programmes in homelessness services? Let’s speak to people experiencing homelessness and the staff that serve them to hear their views, and let’s share those views with public health teams and organisational leads so the recommendations can be acted on. https://chrphomeless.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Smoking-Cessation-Policy-Brief.pdf

🚪And now, working with young people in supported lodgings to hear their views and experiences on moving towards independence. Directors of Children’s Services will then be invited to hear these young people’s views and work with them on recommendations for improved policy and practice. We will be sharing more about this project at the CHRP Psychology, Homelessness, and Policy conference on 6 June 2024 https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/psychology-homelessness-and-policy-tickets-850770406187 and here: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7194264074145222657/
